The Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) and the Environmental Organization Footprint (EOF) are proposals of the European program to increase resource efficiency and aims to provide a common way of measuring environmental performance for companies within the EU and for companies wishing to trade their products on the European continent. PEF/OEF are based on rules applied to product/organization categories, adding confidence and increasing acceptance of results mainly in comparisons in the consumer market.

PEF/OEF are based on a multicriteria sustainable indicator of a product/organization. Considering this set of relevant environmental aspects, PEF/OEF is considered by the European Commission  as a key element in strategic policies and competitive market situations. Therefore, PEF/OEF becomes a market differential in Europe and possibly a requirement for organizations that operates (or wish to trade) in the European market.

EnCiclo quantifies the PEF/OEF according to the specificities of the existing Product Environmental Footprint Category Rules (PEFCRs), which is framed in the specific Life Cycle Assessment standards in accordance with ILCD and EU guides and indicates solutions to reduce the environmental footprint of your products, services or organization.
